OUR STORY
Brooklyn Violin House was started by the husband and wife team of Trina Basu and Arun Ramamurthy. Brought together by a shared passion for music, Arun and Trina have spent the past eight years bridging their musical worlds.
With Trina rooted in Western Classical, and Arun in South Indian Carnatic Classical, both violinists took to the notion of expanding their creative influences. Trina learned under jazz mentors and traveled to India to study Indian Classical violin. Arun moved to Brooklyn and began collaborating with musicians from around the world, exploring ways to connect his Indian training with his American upbringing.
Trina and Arun live in Brooklyn with their two sons. Their house, the Brooklyn Violin House, is one filled with music!
